Sketching In Stone, my place-based, socially engaged residency celebrated the 400th anniversary of Berwick-Upon-Tweed Bridge. Inspired by its material history I created paint from the same sandstone used in its restoration. I curated an exhibition to honour the original bridge workers, bringing together paintings from 40 local people with my own artworks and archive research. This residency was commissioned by Connecting Threads.
